Brief:
The Client wanted to remove their existing wetpour surfacing and lay new colourful wetpour across the equipment on site. The Client also wanted to instal a new wheelchair friendly roundabout on site.
The Surface:
Various wetpour depths were installed across the site to comply with the existing equipment. The wetpour was chase cut into the tarmac to provide a smooth edge and minimise any risk of shrinkage as found with PCC edging.
Budget: £23035.00 + VAT – Resurfacing
£9623.00 + VAT – ManDDAla roundabout and surfacing.
Challenges:
The client removed existing wetpour and edging prior to works commencing. The team erected HERAS fencing on site to stop public accessing the area and completed the installation and resurfacing swiftly.
The Outcome:
The playground has been completely transformed and brought back to life with the new bold and vibrant surfacing.
Each colour defines a new play opportunity for the children and all the correct safety regulations are now in place for the surfacing under each unit. The wheelchair roundabout has now brought an element of inclusive play to site for all users to enjoy.
