The Brief:
The client wanted to provide their local community with an outdoor gym so that residents could exercise outside. They also wanted a water permeable surface so that the area could be used in all weathers.

The Challenges:
As the area is fairly large and open it needed to be in good view to draw people in and encourage its use. The key for a successful gym is to make it visible and to offer some level of privacy so that users are comfortable. The chosen position used the factors above whilst allowing parents and carers of young children to be able to enjoy and use the unit whilst having vision of the nearby fenced play area being used by their children.
