The new outdoor gym gives residents of Gun Hill an opportunity to exercise outside whilst enjoying fresh air. A range of strength and cardiovascular equipment has been installed to allow for a full body workout.

The students have enjoyed having a new fitness option available to them at school, situated alongside the existing MUGA creating a sporting zone. The bundle allows for a cardiovascular workout which is suitable for the age range of the school. The equipment was installed onto grass matting which created a natural look and feel to the gym space.

The new units offer a range of workout options for the community and allow parents to work out while their children play in the playground. The SUDS bond surfacing allows for speedy drainage throughout the winter months which means the site can be used all year round. The range of equipment is suitable for all age groups and compatible with the free Caloo Pulse App.

The addition of these great new play units has added play value to an existing site. With a variety of units for various age groups and a large steel runway just outside of the fenced space. The units were surfaced with rubber mulch with wet pour wear pads for added durability. Children have loved playing across all the new units, and this has also increased capacity on site.

The playground has offered a fantastic nature themed site, keeping the natural grass and surroundings. The units were built with timber effect panels to keep the longevity of steel but with the wood effect. The multiplay is packed with play activities and different level platforms and slides. The swings, roundabout and springer offer different play opportunities within the same space.

The playing fields now have a fun and exciting sports space on site. With a MUGA with floodlighting which can be hired by local groups and teams. A multi-active goal end allows free play for any users alongside the MUGA. The gym has four units with six user stations offering a range of cardiovascular and strength-based equipment on SUDS bond surfacing which is perfect for year-round fast drainage. The SUDS daily mile track has 700m2 of running space around the field, offering a sturdy, minimal slip surface for all users to enjoy. The site has been a huge success with the local community and is perfect for outdoor fitness all year round.
