CLIENT Stanton Bridge Primary School, Coventry
BUDGET £28,906 + VAT
DATE 2017
PROJECT TYPE Playground Trim Trail

The Brief:
The Client wanted to replace their existing play space within their school. They were interested in replacing with current timber trail which had become unsafe with a more secure product with durable safety surfacing.

The school wanted a trail which incorporated a range of activities for physical play. We pulled together a plan and design which fully met these requests within the budget specified.

Equipment Installed:

• Two Panel Traverse Wall with core rope link,
• Balance Slalom,
• Log Stack,
• Rolling Beam,
• 1600mm Wobble Board
• Parallel Bars
• Log Rope
• Rope Tunnel
• Hanging Tarzan Ring Beam
• Sif Multiplay Unit
• Stepping Logs

The Surfacing:
The equipment was installed into bonded rubber mulch which offered a porous durable surface to allow year round play. Compliant with BS EN 1177:2008, Bonded Mulch is an environmentally friendly option, made from recycled rubber.

The Challenges:
Working within a school location, we installed over the summer holiday period. This meant children and staff would not have access to the facility and installation and removal of old play units could be completed with ease.

The Outcome:
The site has been a great success with the children and the new trim trail offered more challenges than the previous units. The addition of the new multiplay unit added extra climbing challenges and a fun slide to the playground.

The two panel climb wall with rope crossing is a fun addition to the new trail and challenges fine motor skills and balance. A successful project from start to finish.
